There is no other such case in history of fashion, when ordinary person became the founder of world House of fashion. It was succeeded only by Gucci. In 1923, working as door-keeper in the best hotels of Florence, he decided to make a few luxurious objects out of skin for “gold young people”. As the real master of Dark ages, Gucci invented firm brand - a monogram from two interlaced letters «G». Success was so stunning, that soon former door-keeper was able to open his own shop of accessories from a skin.
After death the founder of firm in 1953, his sons decided not to limit themselves by Italy and to conquer the world. The design of wares was considerably changed, they began to sew clothes and to make a shoe. Thankful public at once responded to the innovations, the circle of adherents of Gucci broadened. Now it includes not only playboys, but Hollywood and pop-stars.
In 1994 Tom Ford, former model and actor, became the leader of House of Gucci. He was responsible about all new lines of clothes, perfume, watches, jewellery, silk scarves and about promotion of new collections and the design of stores. Hollywood stars were impressed by the experiments of Tom Ford. As a result in 1996 designer was awarded with the title of the best designer of the year , the best men and women clothes designer and a lot of other awardes.
